I Can't Stop Crying: It's So Hard When Someone You Love Dies
Published in Paperback by Key Porter Books (September, 1992)
Authors: John D., Rev. Martin, Frank D. Ferris, and Robert Buckman
Average review score:

I finally stopped Crying
I found this book when my lifepartner died two years ago. THis book helped me so much then and now, when certian days come along and I start feeling sad and don't understand. I am in a new relationship and still sometimes find myself missing my former life-partner and I realize through this book that it is entirely normal and to some degree expected.

I recommend this book to anyone who has lost someone they love. It will help you get a handle on your emotions and is very easy to read.

What is the "Love"? What is the "Alive#? -It's on this book.
Firstly,I found this title is in the The Journal of Emergency Medical Services of Japan. This book has introduced with activity of the Metro Toronro Ambulance. This story has told about how to reduce Paramedician's stress and how to inform the "Lover's death" to the family or relatives.I really had caught warm heart from this story this is because The Metro Toront Paramedician has present this book to the person who lost the lover. And,this book provides how to accept one's saddness and how to go ahead one's life.I think, from this book is able to learn what is the realy love and what is alive. I reccomend this book ,especially medician, paramedician, emagency case cordinator, government officer, student and, simply for all.

The I-Like-My-Beer Diet
Published in Hardcover by M Evans & Co (September, 1984)
Author: Martin P. Lipp
Average review score:

Essential Reading
Hops are tops and with Martin Puffy Lipp's diet manifesto you can enjoy delicious beer without the unwanted (by some) beer gut--that's if you can follow "Lippy's Plan". I can't say whether or not this diet works because I found it too restrictive. Nevertheless, for someone with more self control than Hoppy, this could be a real gut-saver and it's amusing as well--particularly when you've decided for the 94th time to stop dieting. Cheers. HHD.

I like my beer...AND this book!
This book literally (hic) changed my life! I was once a high-powered, overweight executive. Dr. Lipp (or "Lippy," as his disciples call him) came into my life at a time of (hic) need. . Since the turn of the first page, the room's (hic) been spinning, and I've been losing pound after disgusting pound. Sure, my wife (hic) has left me, the kids aren't speaking to me, and I've been fired from my job. But I'm more slender than (urp) I've been in years, and I owe it all to Dr. Lipp! I've taken the liberty of composing a little (bURRRHAAAAP) poem:

Hops, barley, malt, and yeast... let's sit down and have a feast!

Kudos (hic) to you, Lippy!

Imperial Rome at War

Authors: Angus McBride and Martin Windrow
Average review score:

good text and terrifc art of MR. Mcbride..
very intersting book about Roman army, good text and interesting as well realistic painting of Mcbride.. worth to own.

Accurate pictorial depiction of Roman Armies
This litle book provides exceptional artistic skill in the depiction of Roman uniforms during the Empire period as well as the inclusion in realistic settings during the reigns of well known Emperors. Each page has an associated historical sketch of the events shown in the picture opposite. Absolutely beautifully presented, and provides not just visual enjoyment but useful hints for modellers and military enthusiasts. A must for my own bookshelf.

In-Line Skating

Author: John Martin

A Real Page Turner! I Couldn't Put It Down!
Kudos to Martin, he does it again! Like his aptly titled masterpiece "Motorcycles", Martin adroitly examines the sport thoroughly and breaks it down into easy to understand laymen's terms. Although void of such memorable characters like his infamous Juan Martinez, the book is a must read.

Excellent Starter book for kids of all ages!
Martin takes us on a mystical journey of the unique world of in - line skating. A journey that is not just informative, but enjoyable. It is an excellent tutorial for kids of all ages who are willing to explore the fun and exciting world of in-line skating. I applaud Martin, Bravo!!

I HAVE GONE THROUGH YOUR BOOK.. AND I DO ENJOY IT...

But i was having the question that.... (1) How you can compare and contast your system development methods with RAMBAUGH'S Object oriented modeling and design?

AND

(2) with YOURDON'S Modern structured Analysis??

I will be greatful for that if you can give both answer as soon as possible...

THANKING YOU...

Martin Used it Most, but He Wasn't First....
Martin's trilogy covers data and process modelling well....but then again, it's almost like reading every other Martin text on data modelling....or just like reading every other Martin text.

International Relations: The Key Concepts (Key Concepts)
Published in Paperback by Routledge (29 December, 2001)
Authors: Martin Griffiths and Terry O'Callaghan
Average review score:

Be Informed about World Events
This book provides an excellent introduction to International Relations through an examination of concise essays concerning such areas as Terrorism, the Cold War, Human Rights and Globalisation among others. For a better understanding of the complexities of world events and to be well informed about historical concepts, this book is an excellent read. The subjects are placed in the broad sweep of history, pointing to relationships that will encourage discursive reading. International Relations - The Key Concepts, will remain the pre-eminent reference work, that in my view will be unsurpassed.

International Relations: The Key Concepts (Key Concepts)
This book is quite useful for the student of international studies. Very clear and informative.

Solid action author!
I have read all of Mr. Martin's books and I highly endorse "Into The Primitive". Detailed and well researched. "Trapper's Bible" is another book by Martin that is excellent.

Top notch! A cut above the rest!
A top notch first rate book on survival. Not the same old stuff, but gives information on many items not seen in any other similar books. Well researched and well done!

An Introduction to the Philosophy of Science
Published in Paperback by Dover Pubns (February, 1995)
Authors: Rudolf Carnap and Martin Gardner
Average review score:

a great introduction to the philosophy of science
This is perhaps the only book in which Carnap is almost invariably informal. It is a remarkably clear introduction to some important topics in the philosophy of science: the nature of scientific laws, probability, scientific measurement, the structure of space, causality and determinism, theoretical concepts and laws, and a last chapter called "beyond determinism". The point where Carnap gets a bit formal, sections 26-28, is boring and absolutely out of date; his approach to analyticity is certainly not the best available. As for the rest, Carnap's conceptions are generally reliable (although it should be observed that his "logical conception" programme for probability was a complete failure). The sections I enjoyed most are those which deal with the structure of space. Carnap is highly proficient there (Carnap's doctoral dissertation was called "Der Raum") and his philosophical observations are always lucid and precise.

excellent read on why Science works the way it does
This is probably the clearest account of the way Science works and why certain decisions are made. Within it is contained the clearest explanation of portions of General Relativity (as a concrete example of why Einstein presented the theory in the manner he did) I've ever read, as well as many other little interesting tidbits. Some parts of the book are a bit dry, but that is probably because this book is a rewriting of college lecture notes given by the author.

Introductory Psychology Through Science Fiction
Published in Paperback by Houghton Mifflin Company (01 January, 1977)
Authors: Harvey A. Katz, Patricia S. Warrick, and Martin H. Greenberg
Average review score:

More than what it is
The coolest thing about this book isn't just the great short stories or the totally original presentation of psychological concepts through those stories. The coolest thing is the implied approach. The idea behind the book--that to study man we must study his expressions together with his behavior and biology--is what really makes the book so awesome. A great supplemental read for an integrated humanities course. If only someone would do an updated edition!

Good science fiction stories with psychology themes
This book was used as a textbook for an Introductory Psychology course I took in 1975. In spite of the fact that it was written as a textbook, it is an excellent read for short stories. Luckily, I happen to like the science fiction genre, and found almost all of the chapters (stories?) very well written. I can't remember discussing this book in class, although I'm sure it must have been included. There are entries about Skinner Boxes, telepathic animals, walking dream worlds, homicidal maniacs, and many other themes in which psychology is so rich. The good part about this book is that, while it introduces these themes to one who might be unfamiliar, it also unfolds them in a manner that does not broadcast that theme from the start. Thus, they are a good read for the psychologist as well. I came to Amazon to get another copy, as mine disappeared several years ago and I want it back!
